THANK YOU!

As the owner of Up Arts Incubator, I want to offer a sincere thank you to each and every artist that submitted work to Locally Grown Art!, and those that were chosen by juror Erik Sacony, Founder of Headway Art Collective. Assembling the work into a narrative is one of my most favorite parts of owning an art gallery. Each piece of art not only tells its own story, but the conversation between the pieces introduces new storylines and twists. I highly encourage anyone who has not seen the show in person to make an appt to do so or to view the online gallery. 

I'd also like to personally thank Erik again for thoughtfully choosing a wide variety of art and styles to highlight all of the talent found in the Lansdale area and beyond (within about 25 miles, to be exact).

I'd also like to thank my studio partner, Theresa Smith, Director of Smith Vocal Arts, for providing musical entertainment outside the gallery all night for attendees and passersby. And, last, but certainly not least, I'd like to thank my 'silent' art gallery partner, Holly, hostess with mostest–sister extraordinaire, for pouring wine and serving the snacks outside so that we could be as Covid-safe as possible without eliminating refreshments altogether.

I wanted to take a moment and acknowledge the incredible submissions for this gallery. 

Each and every piece was unique and beautifully constructed in its own way. Whether or not your work was included in this gallery, please do not allow it to discourage you. Keep pushing forward, keep following your artistic path. Nurture it and pursue your dreams. 

The act of art is best when you can feel the interaction between the piece and the artist. Each of you has displayed your personal desire to rise to the top. Keep the energy alive and the drive to achieve that.
